7.1. How Do I Report A Desired iOS App Purchase in Helpspot?

Ravenna Public Schools (RPS) uses FileWave (FW) as a "Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution." An MDM is Apple's solution to "get apps and books into the hands of (RPS) users quickly and easily." Using an MDM requires a purchase, by RPS, of software and hardware via an educational institution store setup by Apple.

Here is how to report the apps that you find in the iTunes store to the tech department. This will reduce the tech department's challenge(s) in identifying the exact app you desire.

1. Start iTunes

You will want to click the following:

1. The "Apps" icon. Click the ellipsis icon to select "Apps" if the Apps icon is not showing
2. Verify you are in the App Store
3. If necessary, click the iPad tab
4. If necessary, use the search to find an iOS app.

2. Browsing the Education category in the App Store

1. Beneath the "App Store ∨" menu . . . 
2. is an "All Categories ∨" menu. Click "All Categories ∨" to expand the menu as shown.

4. Here is the vital information to include in your help request.

1. The entire title of the app exactly as it appears, "Seesaw: The Learning Journal." without the quotes.
2. The entire publisher's name exactly as it appears, "Seesaw, Inc"
3. The iTunes Store link in case the tech department needs more information. This link is very important to include.
4. Next to "Get" is another ∨ symbol (can't see ∨ in the image). Click the ∨
5. Click "Copy Link".  Though it will look like nothing happened, the link to this page in the iTunes Store is placed in the clipboard. You can then paste this link into your help request.
