3.5. Google Groups: Managing members

Google Groups makes it easy for groups of people such as project teams, departments, or classmatesto communicate and collaborate. You can send an email to everyone in a group with one address, invite a group to an event, or share documents with a group. This is an alternative way to email all parents, all students, or different subsets of each in different hours of the same class.                                  

1. Contact the tech department

The tech department will create your group for you.

2. From your @ravennaschools.org email

  1. In your inbox, click on the waffle icon.
  2. Find the Groups icon. Your look may differ from the image below.

3. Google Groups

Click on My groups

4. My groups in ravennaschools.org - Google Groups

Look for your intended group.

  1. The tech department will have made you an Owner
  2. so you can Manage the group. Click Manage.

5. Google Groups

You will see tech dept personnel as owners. If needed, this permission can help us troubleshoot more effectively.

  1. Click Direct Add members

6. Enter email addresses

  1. Emails can be typed or copied/pasted into this space.
