11.4. System Preferences: Change Flash preferences
These instructions will work for any Flash requests for access. BE WARY of requests that appear spontaneously! You should be initiating the request. Spanish classes make use of Lingt.com for listening to and recording pronunciations. This should help Safari and Flash to work together nicely with lingt.com.
1. Flash - Safari - Set Preferences
First things first.
Set your Flash preferences in Safari. Then return to these instructions.
2. Open your Mac's System Preferences
System Preferences can be selected from the Apple menu.
- When System Preferences open, look for Flash Player in the bottom row.
3. Camera and Mic setting
- Click on the Camera and Mic tab
- Click on the Camera and Microphone Settings by Site
4. DO NOT MAKE THESE CHANGES FOR JUST ANY WEBSITE!
If you don't want to grant Allow access, then leave access at Ask me.
- Change the HTTPS and Other options.
- Select the Allow option
- Click Close
