4.6. Podium: Using the RMS computer lab "dog house"

The computer lab teacher podiums have a special controller for the document camera, PC and projectors.

1. The Dog House Home Screen

This is the home screen. When the screen is off (black), tap the screen to view the controls.

  1. Tap to return home (this screen). The Home icon is available on all menus.
  2. Tap to power on projector 1 or 2. Tap both icons individually to turn them both on.
  3. Tap to turn off each projector individually.
  4. Tap to turn both projectors off at the same time. It doesn't matter if one or both projectors are on when you tap.

2. After tapping Proj 1 or Proj 2 on the home screen

It doesn't matter which projector icon you want to control. Choosing either projector icon controls them both. Both projectors will show the same output. The computer labs do not display one source on projector 1 and a second source on projector 2.

  1. Tap to select PC as the source.
  2. Tap to select the document camera as the source.
  3. Tap to select a video iPod as the source. It is unlikely you have a video iPod. Apple deprecated them around 2008.
  4. Tap the Home icon to return. You must go home to get to the "All OFF" icon.
