Screenshots are created from Excel 2016 for Mac. Your version of Excel should be similar.

1. Your Excel (.xlsx) spreadsheet

  1. Click File
  2. Click Save As

2. Change the file format

There are two different csv formats shown below. I have highlighted one for this document. If this doesn't work, try CSV UTF-8 (or any others including txt formats).

  1. Click the pop up menu following the text, "File Format:". The pop up menu is already open.
  2. Click the file format conversion option
  3. Click Save
