3.14. PSA don’t click on random Google Doc links
So you clicked the link. Here's what to do.
Some instructions adapted from Franceschi-Bicchierai, Lorenzo. "Someone Hit the Internet with a Massive Google Doc Phishing Attack." Motherboard. Web. 04 May 2017.
1. Open your inbox
- Click your account image in the upper right corner.
- Click My Account.
2. My Account
- Look for Sign-in & security
- Click Connected apps & sites
3. Sign-in & security
- Click MANAGE APPS
4. Apps connected to your account
Scroll down looking for "Google Apps" (not shown in this screenshot). NOTE: "Google Drive" is NOT, repeat NOT, the same as Google Apps and should not be chosen.
From the Motherboard article, "Locate the 'Google Doc' app. This looks totally legitimate, but it's actually not. If that's the malicious app that's gotten access to your account after you clicked on the link it should have a recent 'Authorization Time.' Now, click on that Google Docs app and click 'Remove'."
